Tools4Boards Buff Hard Brass is typically used as a first brush before waxing to clean the base, brush out structure and prepare the base for wax and as a first brush after waxing to free the base structure (linear pattern in base). For best results do not use the same brush applying paraffin waxes that will be used when applying flouro wax (use one brush for paraffin wax only and another to apply flouro wax only). Brushes should be used in one direction (shovel to tail) in order to remove excess wax from base structure after scraping, to clean and prepare the base for wax penetration, or to set up flouro powder for uniform base penetration in special cases.
